After several months of a seemingly endless winter season, Spring has finally arrived. As the weather warms up and everyone begins to look forward to the Hamptons, Spring Gala season is upon us with some of the year’s finest and most upscale parties. Spring Gala season is comprised of decadent and lavish events including: the Frick Young Fellows Ball, TriBeCa Ball, Whitney Studio Party and the legendary Costume Institute Gala at the Met. Below is our list of the most exclusive Spring Galas we are most looking forward to this season:

Young Fellows Ball at the Frick

Where: Frick Collection
What: The Young Fellows Ball is one of the most decadent and upscale Galas of the year. Taking place at the famous and arguably one of the most prestigious museums on the Upper East Side, the Young Fellows Ball attracts an eclectic mix of the biggest socialites of New York and the Upper East Side. While it may not have the “downtown chic” feel of the TriBeCa Ball, it nevertheless caters to the who’s who of the UES and NY Socialite circle. This year, the Frick celebrates the “Dance of Time” with socialite DJ, Hannah Bronfman.

Young Friends Save Venice Ball
When: Friday April 5th, 2013
Where: Pierre Hotel
What: Sponsored by Harry Winston and Lanvin, the Un Ballo in Maschera is designed to raise money for art and architecture in Venice. Socialites include: Lauren Santo Domingo, Indre Rockafeller, Amanda Hearst and model Jess Hart.

Where: New York Academy of Art
What: Benefiting the New York Academy of Art’s Scholarship and public programming, the Annual TriBeCa Ball brings out a mix of celebrities and power players in the Art and entertainment industry including: Larry Gagosian, Eileen Guggenheim, Andre Balazs, Graydon Carter and Vito Schnabel. In addition, the dinner is curated by acclaimed celebrity chef, Daniel Boulud.

Where: The Metropolitan Club
What: An evening concert featuring Guillermo Figueroa, Naoko Tanaka, Frank Morelli, Alan Kay, Charles Neidich and many more stars of Orpheus. While it may cater to an age group north of 40, the Orpheus Gala nevertheless represents one of the classiest and most upscale black ties of the season. Furthermore, the setting, the Metropolitan Club, is one of the most prestigious and “upper crust” venues in NYC.

New Yorkers for Children

What: The New Yorkers for Children’s Tenth Annual Spring Dinner Dance at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel with an after party at No. 8.
American Museum of Natural History Gala

What: For more than four decades, the American Museum of Natural History’s Museum Dance has captured the attention and imagination of 800 young New Yorkers for a spectacular evening of dinner, dancing, fun and philanthropy at the Museum.

Whitney Studio Party

What: Akin to the TriBeCa Ball, the Whitney Studio Party is one of the most significant Art Galas of the season. Known for attracting socialites, including Hannah Bronfman and Tinsley Mortimer, among others, this is the Whitney’s best event of the year.
Operation Smile – 2013 New York Smile Event

The Costume Institute Gala at the Met

Where: Metropolitan Museum of ArtWhat: The most exclusive event and arguably the highlight of Spring Gala season in NYC. Comprised of the most A-list crowd including Oprah Winfrey, Graydon Carter, George Clooney, Giorgio Armani, Donatella Versaci and more, the Costume Institute Gala attracts the biggest players in both fashion and hollywood.Co-Chairs Rooney Mara, Lauren Santo Domingo, Riccardo Tisci, and Anna Wintour.
The spring 2013 exhibition organized by The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be PUNK: Chaos to Couture. The exhibition, on view from May 9 through August 14, 2013 (preceded on May 6 by The Costume Institute Benefit), will examine punk’s impact on high fashion from the movement’s birth in the 1970s through its continuing influence today.

The Fortune Society Spring Soiree

Where: Bowery Hotel
What: Hosted by Luke Weil and Louise Tabbiner, the Fortune Society annual Spring Soiree will attract mostly a UES/Connecticut transplant crowd. While the event will have a younger audience then most Gala’s, the event is highly anticipated.
Party in the Garden at MOMA
When: Tuesday May 21st, 2013
Where: MoMa Museum
What: Annual Party in the Garden, which benefits The Annual Fund of The Museum of Modern Art is one of the MoMa’s best events of the year. Catering socialites and tastemakers in the fashion arts and creative fields, the MoMa Garden Party made news when Jay Z and Kanye performed in 2011.
